The Female Boss
Networking in Liverpool is super popular and heavily saturated with many different styles on offer. With so many networking groups to choose from, finding your tribe can be either extremely daunting or one of the most exciting and rewarding adventures. a self-employed business owner can make.
Being self-employed and running your own business can be tough at times. With so many ups and downs and lonely times, you can often find yourself with questions needing answering at any time of day. Since arriving in Liverpool exactly 3 years ago, I dived into networking almost immediately, which turned out to be one of the best things I could have ever done. I joined many over the years and found that, as well as meeting people face to face, the online community offers round-the-clock support. Whether it’s a Facebook or a WhatsApp group, you have multiple people ready to help with ideas or answers at your fingertips.
Anyway, back to the blog. I met Lindsey Stephens by chance while I was subbing at an all-women's network called WIBN. I was instantly attracted to her obvious experience in the editorial world and the clear vision for her imminent magazine launch, The Female Boss. Since that day, she has published 4 stunning glossy magazines, with pages full of insightful articles for women navigating their personal lives and careers.
I’m so glad I asked her for a 1:1, as I absolutely loved shooting her incredible first event recently and hope to remain her first choice of photographer in the future!!
Lindsey launched her first LIVE event. predominantly attended by women. Well, it was all women bar one man!!! Not quite sure how he slipped through the net, but equally, men were encouraged. It was the first of its kind for Lindsey Stephens, and I have no doubt it will be the last.
Although there is no formal weekly or monthly event planned for her tribe, as mentioned above, Lindsey created exclusive members-only Facebook and WhatsApp groups.
Below is a snapshot of the event featuring guest speakers from the law firm, Ward Hadaway. Michelle Niziol, an exceptional powerhouse and entrepreneur who began her journey on The Apprentice. Kate Mclaren, ex-professional boxer and Beth Hope, an executive business coach. It was all so amazing to listen to. Each woman spoke with passion for uplifting women and girls of all ages. Just brilliant. After an incredible feast supplied by the venue, The Well Being Farm, we were then treated to a fun panel of speakers, including 2 aces from Liverpool. Director and creator, Katherine Jones of Think Wine and Kate Hill, Director and creator of Lola Starr active wear. Joining them were the formidable mother-daughter team, owners and creators of the aesthetic skincare brand, Aftermed, Abigail and Julie Devenney.
ENJOY!!!!
